This cold process oil-in-water sunscreen cream provides broad spectrum sun protection. It combines the benefits of a readily flowable zinc oxide dispersion (HallBrite® EZ-FLO ZDX, containing HallBrite® BHB (Butyloctyl Salicylate)) with Hallstar’s patented photoprotection expertise (SolaStay®S1). The inclusion of Hallstar’s Olivem® 2020 offers additional functionality, refreshing and cooling the skin, and improving moisture levels.
This formula was subjected to in vitro analysis and delivered SPF ~62, PFA (PPD) ~21 performance with critical wavelength 380 nm.

1 | To a secondary vessel add phase A and start mixing (Heat up to 50 - 55°C to help dissolve Avobenzone fast if needed). After Avobenzone is dissolved totally, add phase B and mix until uniform. |
2 | To the main vessel add the liquids of phase C, start mixing and add solid item one by one. |
3 | When solids of phase C are fully incorporated, slowly add phase D to phase C with strongly mixing until a smooth gel is formed. |
4 | When both phases are homogeneous, slowly add phase AB to phase CD with prop mixing. |
5 | After a smooth gel is formed, add phase E one by one with mixing |
6 | Continue mixing until batch is smooth, replacing any water lost to evaporation and mixing until smooth. |
