This formulation base utilizes Hallstar’s elegant sunscreen solvent and emollient HallBrite® BHB towards optimizing solvent polarity, to which the triplet state quenching photostabilizer HallBrite® PSF has been added, providing substantial additional photostabilization to the composition. In vivo testing (five subjects) indicates static SPF 34, while in vitro testing suggests PFA (PPD) ~12. Critical Wavelength = 379 nm.

| In a secondary vessel, add phase A ingredients with mixing until homogenous, then add phase B to A and start heating to 85°C. |
| Then add phase C to AB, in order. Once phase ABC is at temperature and homogenous, add phase D to ABC and mix until well dispersed. |
| To the main vessel, add the water from phase E with mixing and dissolve Disodium EDTA, then add Xanthan, mixing until fully incorporated. |
| Start heating phase E to 80°C and then add premix phase F. |
| When both phases ABCD and EF are at temperature and homogenous, slowly add oil phase ABCD to water phase EF with prop mixing. |
| Homogenize and cool batch for 3 minutes and then return to prop mixing with continued cooling. Once batch is under 50°C, add phase G ingredients, with mixing until uniform. Replace any water lost and mix until smooth. Perform quality assuarnce checks. |
