Natural Sunscreen Lotion SPF 20

A broad spectrum natural (using only microfine oxide UV filters) sunscreen lotion. SolaStay® S1 is incorporated to mitigate the photocatalytic and reactive oxygen species generating activities of the oxides. This composition was subjected to in vitro analysis and delivered SPF ~21, PFA (PPD) ~10 performance with critical wavelength 373 nm.

PREPARATIVE PROCEDURE

1To a secondary vessel add phase A and start mixing, disperse phase B and heat to 80°C.
2Add phase C into phase AB, and mix well until all are dissolved. homogenizing for 3 min
3To the main vessel add the Water of phase D, start mixing, add the Disodium EDTA, then add Xanthan Gum and start heating to 75°C when fully incorporated.
4When both phases are homogeneous and at their designated temperatures, slowly add the oil phase ABC to the water phase D with prop mixing.
5After five minutes start cooling and add premix of phase E when batch is below 50°C.
6Continue mixing until batch is at room temperature, replacing any water lost to evaporation and mixing until smooth.
