Mineral Only SPF 100, PFA 25 O/W Sunscreen Lotion

This mineral UV filters only oil-in-water broad spectrum sunscreen cream uses SolaStay® S1 to mitigate the photocatalytic and reactive oxygen species generating activities of the oxides. It was subjected to in vitro analysis and delivered SPF ~104, PFA (PPD) ~26 performance with critical wavelength 380 nm.

PREPARATIVE PROCEDURE

1To a secondary vessel add phase A, start mixing, heat to 80°C and add phase B.
2To the main vessel add phase C, start mixing and the add Phase D items in order.
3When solids of phase D are fully incorporated, heat phase CD to 75°C and add phase E.
4When both phases are homogeneous and at their designated temperatures, add phase F to phase AB and mix until uniform.
5Slowly add phase ABF to phase CDE with strongly mixing.
6Homogenize for 3 minutes, start cooling, and when batch is below 50°C add items in Phase G one by one with mixing.
7Continue mixing until batch is at room temperature, replacing any water lost to evaporation and mixing until smooth.
