Sunscreen Cream SPF 50

HallBrite® ISO is incorporated to mitigate the photocatalytic and reactive oxygen species generating activities of oxides, protecting it from photodegradation, and so improve sunscreen performance. HallBrite® BHB aids wetting and dispersion of the Titanium Dioxide and enhanced product feel. This formulation was subjected to in vitro analysis and delivered SPF ~50, PFA (PPD) ~9 performance with critical wavelength 376 nm.

PREPARATIVE PROCEDURE

1In seconadary vessel, combine phase A and mix well. Disperse phase B with mixing. Heat AB to 80C.
2Add phase C into phase AB with mixing until homogenous
3In the main vessel, add water od phase D, dissolve EDTA. Add xanthan gum and mix until fully incorporated.
4Heat main vessel to 80C, and premixed of phase E.
5When oil phase (ABC), and water phase (DE) homogenous and at their designated temperatures, add phases ABC into phases DE with prop mixing.
6Homogenize for 3 minutes. Resume prop mixing, and start cooling it down to the room temperature.
7When batch is below 50C, add Cyclopentasiloxane with mixing. Add Simulgel 600 at 35C if batch is too thin.
8Add water lost
