Sunscreen Lotion SPF 45

This sunscreen lotion is designed to meet US FDA requirements for broad spectum sun protection. SolaStay® S1 is incorporated to mitigate the photocatalytic activity of the oxide. This composition was subjected to in vitro analysis and delivered SPF ~45, PFA (PPD) ~13 performance with critical wavelength 378 nm.

PREPARATIVE PROCEDURE

1To a secondary vessel add the liquids of phase A, start mixing, add the powders of phase A in order, and heat to 75°C.
2To the main vessel, add phase B, start mixing, add phase C to phase B and heat phase BC to 75°C.
3Add phase D to phase BC with mixing and, after dissolved, slowly add phase A to phase BCD, mixing well.
4Homogenize phase ABCD for 3 minutes, start cooling and add phase E when bartch is below 50°C.
5Contiune mixing until batch is at room temperature, replacing any water lost to evaporation and mixing until smooth.
