Sunscreen Lotion Spray SPF 30

A broad spectrum sunscreen spray lotion in which polar sunscreen solvents HallBrite® BHB and HallTress® DIBA Special have been used to help keep the formulation from losing effectiveness during sun exposure and in which Eurol® BT provides additional benefit. This composition was subjected to in vitro analysis and delivered SPF ~35, PFA (PPD) ~15 performance with critical wavelength 375 nm.

PREPARATIVE PROCEDURE

1To the main vessel add the Water of phase A, start mixing, add the remaining phase A ingredients in order, and heat to 70°C.
2To a secondary vessel add phase B, start mixing, add phase C items, heat to 70°C, and then add phase D items.
3With both phases at 70°C, add phase BCD to phase A with stirring. After mixing for 5 min, start cooling and homogenize for 3 min.
4Resume mixing while cooling and, at 50°C or lower, very slowly add previously prepared phase E dispersion.
5After mixing 20 minutes, add phase F premix and then add phase G items with continued mixing.
6Replace any water lost to evaporation and mix until smooth.
